OVERVIEW
OVERVIEW

Auditorium is a web-based educational platform focused on structured, self-paced learning through interactive lessons and hands-on practice. The platform supports both educators, who create and manage content, and students, who consume, practice, and progress through courses.

I worked on Auditorium as Product Lead, responsible for product vision, planning, prioritization, and execution — alongside hands-on design and close collaboration with engineering and stakeholders.

PROBLEM SPACE
PROBLEM SPACE

Many online learning platforms optimize for content delivery rather than learning outcomes. Video-heavy approaches often result in low engagement, weak retention, and limited feedback for both learners and educators.

The core problems to solve were:

  • How to keep learners actively engaged

  • How to give educators powerful yet simple authoring tools

  • How to make progress and outcomes visible and motivating

  • How to scale the platform without increasing complexity

These challenges required product-level decisions beyond interface design.

Design approach
Design approach

As Product Lead, I owned the what, why, and when — not just the how.

Key principles:

  • Learning-first product strategy, not content-first

  • Clear structure for lessons, steps, and progress

  • Incremental complexity to support beginners and advanced users

  • Systemized features that scale across courses and roles

I translated educational goals into product requirements, aligned stakeholders, and worked with engineering to plan and ship features iteratively.

Key Responsibilities & Contributions
Key Responsibilities & Contributions
  • Owned product strategy, roadmap, and prioritization

  • Defined user roles, learning models, and core product concepts

  • Led discovery, planning, and delivery in collaboration with engineering

  • Designed key product flows and interaction patterns

  • Balanced scope, timelines, and technical constraints

  • Ensured product decisions supported long-term scalability and maintainability

This role required continuous trade-off decisions between pedagogy, usability, and technical feasibility.

Auditorium became a structured, interactive learning platform that supports focused learning, measurable progress, and scalable course creation. The product successfully balances flexibility for educators with clarity for learners.

The foundations built during this phase enabled the platform to evolve without fundamental rework — supporting new content types, features, and growth while maintaining a coherent user experience.
